AAC Aware

Hi! I’m Anna Ware, and I have been a speech language pathologist since 2009! I love my career and especially fostering individual relationships with each of my clients and families. I want to work with you to develop a plan to support your communication goals. I passionately believe that every person deserves access to evidence based and experienced services. I specialize in many areas across the lifespan including literacy, speech disorders, language deficits, aphasia and especially augmentative alternative communication (AAC). It’s my job to know what evidence based treatment options exist for you to achieve your goals.

I have extensive expertise in particular with Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) hence the name of my company. However, as my private practice has grown I encompass many areas and view my AAC name to have grown to be “All About Communication!” It has been fun and empowering to see my clients skills grow in many areas!

I am neurodivergent affirming, trained in natural language acquisition, experienced with gestalt language processors, and medically complex clients. I have worked collaboratively with occupational and physical therapists at the world’s top rehabilitation hospitals. This experience has led me to develop a broad interdisciplinary approach to my practice. 

I live in the northwest side of Chicago and can work with you in person at your home or via telehealth within the state of Illinois. I started this practice to better meet your needs outside of the traditional clinic setting.
